Cuckoos Nest
Lovely well shaded on the Zonderend river bank.
This is a traditional clay and straw hut with reed ceiling and clay roof for coolness.
The hut has 2 bedrooms, one with double bed and the other with 2 bunk beds (sleeps 6).
The open plan living room/kitchen is fully equipped with electricity, two plate stove, electric frying pan, kettle, refrigerator-freezer, pots and pans, a zink with running water, a braai rooster and tongs as well as loads of enamel plates and mugs and wine glasses.
The shower is donkey driven with a flush toilet close by.
Bring your own bedding, “dop” and “chop” and relax. |

Hartebeeshuisie bush camp

Situated in a clearing within a riverside woodland is the bush camp comprising of 7 huts (sleeping 24) and lapa kitchen. The candle lit huts are furnished with comfortable single beds (bring your own duvet and pillow). These are traditional mud clay and straw huts with reed ceilings and a clay roof for coolness. They are built in a semi circle near to the lapa kitchen. The lapa kitchen is fully equipped. It has electricity with a 2 plate stove, electric frying pan, kettle, zink with running water, pizza oven, pots and potjies of all shapes and sizes, fridge and freezer, braai roosters and tongs, cutlery, enamel plates and mugs as well as wine glasses.
The two showers have a "donkey" that provides hot water, 2 flush toilets and a long drop "plons put".
Bring your bedding, "dop en chop" and relax or party until the cows come home.
